Lighter Nights

It doesn't get dark until 5:30pm now - Summer is definitely coming :-)

Barely noticeable still. It's always a hard slog out of the winter nights. Oh well, just over six weeks and the clocks go forwards - then the year is properly under way!

I can't wait for Summer, I'm sick of the cold and the darkness. :P

It's nice that it is, made the drive home tonight a little less daunting :)

I'm not enjoying the long, dark winter nights, as they do nothing for my mental well-being :/

*dusts his fan off*

Thank God for that. :P

In Thailand it gets dark at 6:30pm, regular as clockwork :) Take care.

It starts to be noticeable now though as it gets lighter by about 15 minutes every week from here on in - can't wait for the light nights again - it seems we have been in this darkness for ever :(

Me too - April to September are the greatest months :D

I guess the snow doesn't help with that either though. It's just the terminal darkness that depresses me - I don't get SAD or anything but I like it to get dark after 7pm. It also feels you have more of a day to do things in, it's a weird psychological thing with me.

It's the same with a lot of people - it doesn't really affect me but getting up is a struggle during the Winter and I guess there is a more pervasive feeling of gloom around us during these months.

You'll get the daylight back in the Summer. Half an hour difference, about what I would expect for the latitude difference.

What I always whistfully dream of is sitting in country pubs drinking ales. In reality, I'll just do what I always do really.

That's a nice fan you've got there :)

Yeys!! *hugs* - hope it's a good one :)

I have heard that - it's a latitude thing. I don't know whether I would prefer that or the erratic changes we get here. I guess there are pros to both.
