(Of course, as far as furry fandom is concerned, I think there is an active disinformation campaign by some trolls as well - outright lies, in other words -, but yeah, what you say is also correct, of course.)

And yeah, I agree about suicide methods as well, of course. On the other hand, though, having been in the same situation, I can attest to the fact that the only thing you really care about anymore is what will actually be effective - what method will make sure that you'll actually die (and quickly/painlessly), rather than leaving you with a significant chance of survival. Everything else is... just not on your mind anymore.
