An Itinery Of Things

I know I shouldn't be on the Internet but I flamingoed up my flights so I had to change them. I then wrote this LJ entry and it disappeared so I am having to do it again. Anyway, my itinery is now sorted and reads:

Sat 27 June - Fri 3 July - Jogakarta, Indonesia
Fri 3 - Sun 5 July - Singapore
Sun 5 - Mon 6 July - Kaula Lumpur, Malaysia
Mon 6 - Wed 8 July - Bangkok, Thailand
Wed 8 - Thu 9 July - Singapore

If there are any furries in those cities - particularly the last two -  then it would be great to meet up, particularly as I will be on my own and I need a city guide lols.

A few other things I forgot to mention too include that I saw my first cockroaches - which were as big as they were when I lived in Louisiana. Not nice when they are scuttling across your bare sandelled feet.

I also tried sugar cane juice yesterday. It is made by subjecting raw sugar cane plant to a mangle, which squeezes all the juice out of it, making the cylindrical cane flat and fibrous. The resultant green liquid is very sweet and refreshing.

I am currently watching Singapore Idol which is about as hideous as it's  British and American counterpart. And now the fire alarm has gone off and saved me. I also saw Singapore TV last night, which is largely state owned. They have a Malay, a Chinese, a Tamil and two English channels, which reflects the diversity of the region. I ended up watching Anime last night - which was good but weird. No idea what it was.

Anyways off to the Botanical Gardens now and then the furmeet, which should be fun :-)

P.S. Now there is a kid dressed as a cat on a bleach advert...

It sounds like you are having a nice time. Hope you have fun at the furmeet and the gardens :) Sugar cane juice is quite nice and I hate cockroaches but sadly I get used to seeing them. There is one place in Bangkok where, at night, you can literally see and feel cockroaches running across the street (until you crush them).

Singapore TV sounds a lot like Thai TV, especially with the weird averts :) Take care.

I was used to the cockroaches scuttling across my feet when I lived in America. They're still horrible though. Didn't realise Thai TV was entirely state owned - I guess I will find out next week when I am there.

The furmeet rocked - it was great meeting up with everyone and the gardens were very picturesque :)
