In Sickness And In Health

First of all apologies for being a bit off during the Newcastle Meet. I have been feeling groggy and tired all day and now my body is aching everywhere and I am running up a fever. I am having problems walking let alone doing anything else so me being a little down seems to be due to tiredness and illness. I have been feeling weird for about 24 hours now, really weird swirly consciousness stuff - I think I am coming down with something. I also think the events of the last week and the fact I haven't taken a day off work either (I was in the office for an hour this morning), probably haven't helped me.

Wolfie came up last night and, as usual, it was great spending time with him. It was an unexpected surprise as I wasn't expecting him to come up this weekend but I am really glad that he did. However, next week is Valentine's Day and I hope it's going to be really memorable for the both of us :-)

The Meet itself was good and it was great to see so many in attendance. I hope everyone had fun in Twist and Hustlers Pool Hall. I bought £55 worth of DVDs in HMV - all of which were excellent value and too good to pass up. I love buying things you have always wanted but couldn't really justify buying until the price decreased.

However, I have a fear regarding the Meets that they are becoming a little too samey. The problem is that with the sheer number of people there, getting an agreement on anything is never easy and often all that happens is people get frustrated or annoyed with the lack of any decision. This means that from now on, we need to use the pub as a base and if people want to splinter off and do their own thing before meeting up afterwards then that is great. I'll help all I can to arrange things if needed.

By the by, I think everyone had fun and it was great catching up with people again - particularly a few furs who I really don't get to see often enough. I also proved to a few that I was wearing panties when perhaps they didn't quite believe me and perhaps, I may be going to a Hartlepool United football match real soon...

We had a few non-furs (and a vampire) in attendence and I think the success of these Meets has prompted me to resume the traditional Friday night Darlington drinking gathering. People seem to want me to do it so more details on that coming soon :-)
