Ich Yiffe

This evening I had my first private German lesson on a one-to-one basis. I have been frustrated for too long regarding my lack of fluency in the language and hope that these regular weekly lessons will significantly improve my skills, as well as my employment prospects.

I was very rusty today but it did start to come back towards the end of the session. My German knowledge has always been unique due to my living there for a while - and my love for German music - so individual learning is the best option I feel. Let's hope it works.

I could do with learning a bit more German before next year's EF. The trouble is that most Germans don't understand what little of the language I do know due to my accent.

Ah yes, I was meaning to do exactly the same thing at the beginning of the year, had even researched and made contact with some potential tutors ... and then got distracted with moving house.  And have been distracted ever since with "things on the horizon" that would prevent commitment to at least weekly sessions.

Now it's already the end of the year, and I can't start anything because I have three weeks out of the country coming up.  Argh!

Maybe next year, then.  I hope you have better luck!
