Confessions Of A Walker

I have taken up walking recently, utilising the light nights to take a brisk constitutional around our local area in an attempt to lose some weight.

Last night was a wondrous experience. Walking across a field, viewing a shimmering pink sunset with the smell of coal fires creating a sense of olfactory masturbation in my nostrils. It was heavenly. These experiences make life worth living.

I love strolling through suburbia in the middle of the night, it does have an evocative, almost romantic yet desolate appeal. Plus you can see a surprising amount of wildlife too - I once saw a hedgehog.
