I dont think I would ever hear someone in middlesbrough saying there were too few takeaways et al - I remember walking down Linthorpe road and seeing more of them than pubs in that town when I first arrived.

Hmm Boro chip shops tend to be a bit ropey, but they do have good parmesans, if you like clogged arteries. Im sure living there 10 years took 20 off my life ;)
