Most people seem to be tied up in that massive MMORPG called "First Life" at the weekend, yes. The graphics and the render engine are fantastic, but it's pretty damn hard to get level-ups, no matter how hard you keep farming for gold. ^.^
Pretty quiet in my neck of the woods as well. Though don't feel lonely. If you would like you can chat with me ^^. I am usually awake and asleep with the people in your part of the world. I have a friend in Scotland that I talk to because my sleeping schedule allows me to meet all kinds of people. I would be honored to have you as part of that list of people.
I've just noticed the traffic is lighter on a weekend than it is during the week. Granted it probably has more to do with working patterns than anything else, it was just an observation.
I often think that I'm the only one who has to work at weekends permanently, and as such has to stay at home or close to home while everyone else is doing other things.
I work alternate weekends so I feel in a similar position at times, particularly when people cancel on you at the last minute when you had arranged to do something :(
