Moving In With My Mate

We have just had confirmation that we have been accepted by the estate agents and can move into our new home in Pudsey, near Leeds.

All the documentation has been signed and I am going to forward the fees to Wolfie this afternoon. We pick up the keys next Thursday and will be moving in over the weekend of 21-22 February. It has been a long and convoluted process, taking far longer than it probably needed to, but finally we have got what we wanted. Three years into our relationship, it is the next obvious step for us and I am massively excited about moving in with my mate. I am also looking forward to starting a new life in West Yorkshire. To say that the last three months have seen my life completely turn around is somewhat of an understatement.

The flat itself is a two bedroomed modern affair which is perfect for Wolfie and I. We are only renting at the moment, partly to get a feel for the area in which we want to buy and partly to ensure we can actually live together without killing each other, but I am sure we will put our own stamp on the place.

When we saw it two weeks ago, we instantly fell in love with it. We were second in the queue to get it but the first couple dropped out. It was a rare piece of luck for me at the moment and we jumped at the opportunity that had been presented to us. The next couple of weeks are going to be mental but fun nonetheless. It's great to finally have some good news to talk about.

We don't really get cockroaches here - in Louisiana though the cockroaches we had were massive. We saw a huge arthritic one once limping up the wall. It was horrible. Only bedbugs here.

Good luck with it all, I like the idea of having a separate den each just incase you two start biting. I know how it is, two guys living together with possibly different ideas, it can lead to a squabble. On the other paw, a mate to look after and he will look after you is the most wonderful thing, the hugs and everything else that comes with it is so nice. I hope the area is a decent one too. That's the reason why we went for two bedrooms - it gives us that little extra space. I think we are both under no illusions that at times we are going to need to be alone. We will have to change a little to accommodate each other but I am confident it will be a magical time we will share together. The area is nice, Pudsey's a nice little market town with good connections into Leeds and Bradford. All I need to do is secure a job.
