Our new Wetherspoons

Fuck me it's nice. Granted it's all clean and new but it's so cozy I could sit here all day. I just love exposed brickwork too and there is still the new smell coming off the carpet.

The range of drinks is brilliant, the food cheap and varied, and it seems to be a slightly upmarket one too (posh menus, wood panelling and fascinating pictures of Victorian Pudsey).

Oh and I am eating Monster Munch :)

Lols, genuine laugh out loud moment - actually in the Wetherspoons. Got weird looks. Thanks for that :P

Mmm, good Wetherspoons can be most pleasant indeed! They make a point of keeping a good range of casks available, and hold some pretty decent beer festivals through the year, all at pleasant prices. The food's not usually particularly great - all reheated packages or out from the freezer and into the fryer - but acceptable as part of a night out, and there's nothing to say you can't combine dishes to make more interesting combinations. ^_^

(FWIW, if you're ever in Brighton, High Wycombe, Cardiff, or San Francisco, I can offer some recommendations)

I don't know when I will be in any of those four places but thanks for the advice - I'll bear it in mind. Wetherspoons is cheap and cheerful, true, but I like the range of beers they have and it's a good place to go if you want a night out without spending a load of money.

Some Spoons are better than others though.
