Last night was surreal. Went to a BBQ at a mate's house. I've only known him for two weeks but he's a good lad. In the end it turned out just to be him, the family he's living with and a couple of their friends but it was great. It chucked it down though and there was thunder too! There's something quintessentially English about having a barbeque in a thunderstorm, along with something slightly barking (or howling, in my case). Maybe that's why I enjoyed meself.

Unfortunately the man of the house had never cooked veggie burgers before and left them on too long! They resembled drinks coasters in the end but it was all good - particularly with the gorgeous coconut milk and chili sauce my mate cooked too! Yum!

Ended up talking about war, euthanasia and abortion in the end, which was odd for a first meeting. I always feel scared of saying something inappropriate when I first meet people so I try and skirt away from those sort of issues. Still, no one was judgemental and it was a good debate in the end. And it deflected from one or two funny but possibly slightly too far comments I had made at the dinner table earlier. But I guess I'm probably too sensitive or something as everyone I meet seems to like me. Apart from those chavs last week of course. Bastards.

In other news I've been messing about with my LJ today - it's starting to look good but have a long way to go yet before I make it a proper den. I have to reapulster the sofa for one, and hang some new wallpaper in the hall but once I do that, and get the right ambient lighting (I was thinking a fire in the corner or something) then I am sure it will be a really cosy place that loads of young girls would love to visit! Young girls! Yum! Another reason for the fire!

Speaking of which, am going out with Vicky and Millsy this afternoon and can't wait! *dance*. It's gonna be a great laugh, I like them a lot and they're teaching me the tricks of stalking - which they don't know I am using on them! Mwah ha ha! Shame about the weather though but you can't have everything. A fantastic week ends in a dreary weekend. Still, I'm happy. Cinema and shopping I think this afternoon. And a make-over. For me. Which scares me a little. But at least I get pounced on so I can't complain too much. And I suppose I always have liked lip gloss, deep down like...

Wow! What a day! Not only was Millsy's *hit* to *hug* ratio firmly on the *hug* side of the scale but Vicky, Millsy and I had a real good laugh. Still not too convinced about their penchant for shoes, nor their love of perfume but their love of popcorn and McDonalds can not be denied (although two bags of super-size fries is too much for me in one meal - poor vegetarians still not catered for at McD's). We thought about getting a football but in the end we didn't because we were, erm, lazy. And Millsy told me to 'go die' three times - although I know she didn't mean it! *HUG*!

Missed the FA Cup final in the end which considering it was 3-3, was a shame but then we did buy a Roary the Lion stuffed toy today and that's all the football based excitement you need for one day really. A bit sad I missed the final though but a Liverpool win would have pissed me off so it's probably for the best. Feel really sorry for the Hammers fans. I like them and it would have been nice to see a different club win the Cup. But it wasn't to be. It never seems to be...

Saw a film too - Silent Hill - and it was fantastic! Or more likely Millet's squeamish reaction to it was fantastic, particularly when compared to Vicky's cool composure! 'I'm bur-r-r-r-rning!' and I was laughing as she cowered, hiding her face with her legs! Aw, poor Millsy! The film was a bit disposable and very implausable but a good laugh nonetheless. Also had popcorn and stuff, which was rubbed into my hair by naughty people who will remain nameless. Suffice to say, I hope it makes for a good snack tonight as I'm trying to sleep.

Then I was made-up but it was some of the worst make-up doing ever! It still looked good though and I'm still wearing it! I love wearing make-up every now and again - makes me feel like a man! But then I was left on me own for half an hour to dodge the chavs and the hardcases of the Boro as the Vicky/Millsy hybrid went home (I am convinced they are a jigsaw piece and make one person because they are so opposite in their likes and dislikes). I spent the time loitering in alleyways trying to avoid people in the end. I'm sure some people thought I was trying to pick somebody up because I was all dolled up in eyeliner and blue eyeshadow and looking shifty. And all I can say to that is that I'm not that kind of a wolf. Except on Fridays of course, when anything goes...
