Update dammit!!
Aug. 30th, 2006 08:06 pmWoodgate, Huth FINALLY. God knows why it takes until the day before transfer deadline day to get deals sorted but at least we've got two decent centre backs now, which, after the Pompey mess is what we definitely need. At least we have a good chance of staying up now. But then what do I hear, possibly selling Maccarone and Christie!! FFS!! I know they're not great but if we did that would leave us hopelessly light-weight in attack should Vids/Yak get injured/go through their inevitable crap spells. GRRR! Hope they don't go!
We still have the right sided problem though - namely we don't have one. Parnaby is turd on a stick and Pogotetz's positioning is dodgy (but inevitably he's going to play there). Mendieta in front of him is about as mobile as an oil tanker and probably about as old as the Bismarck so he's out. Plus his hair's thining. Euell (possible new signing) could play there but is out of position which isn't much good. So just a right sided midfielder please Gareth and all will be good :-)
Beyond that little happened. Pompey match was a farce that just got funnier as it went along. It was the only way you could be after how dismal it was - third worst game I've ever been to. In the end just started singing at the Pompey fans although no one else wanted to and they all looked at me as if I was a freak in my block (despite laughing at my humour). Still maybe it was coz I was wearing a ladies shirt and my tits were on show.
By the by, some chavvers got involved at the end and we started singing and much mirth was had. As I say it was all I could do to keep myself sane.
Met up with Vicky and Reanne earlier in the day, twas very good and I had a great time. Was pressured into buying a shirt by evil Reanne :-P (only joking!) and then it was a ladies shirt! Tee hee hee. Also getting my shirt printed with Riggott, just before he is enivatably dropped for a Huth/Woodgate partnership. *sob*. May get away shirt done too - Rochemback is my favourite at the moment. Because he's got curly hair. And doesn't balloon things over the bar.
