Can someone please explain to me why it takes so long to find the internal measurements of a toolbox?

I'm looking for a storage box and I need it to have specific dimensions. On the website all they give is the external and not the internal statistics and I am unsure whether the depth of the box will be sufficient. I make it 2" longer than what I need it for but if the plastic on the top and the bottom is greater than 2" thick then I'm screwed.

So I phoned the company today to enquire about the internal dimensions. They said they'd phone me back later in the day. Now I expected them to go into the back of their store, get the box I have inquired about, get a tape measure, measure it and then phone me back. No. They have phoned their supplier IN ISRAEL to ask for the dimensions from there. They are yet to phone me back. Where the hell is the logic behind this?

This is the descent I tell you, the descent into oaty goodness. And there are also custard creams in the cupboard. I'm very partial to custard creams. Thank God there are no Oreos *shudder* - I'm meant to be on a diet *sobs*.
