Sep. 18th, 2007 08:09 pmI am pleased to announce that I haven't managed to kill the plant that
greyscar gave to me a couple of months ago! Indeed it came into bloom last week and it looked gorgeous. Here's a pic (by the way it's the one in the immediate foreground, not my neighbours sodding llanydi trees or the yellow thing directly in front of my neighbour's shed)
The purple flowers look really beautiful against the green - I got back from EF and was pleasantly surprised at how much it had changed. Sadly it's starting to wilt and die now but cycle of life I guess. I do hope to collect a few seeds though so I can grow a similar plant next year.
It's been great fun caring for a living creature - even if it's only a plant (although it is a special plant as it has its own simple nervous system). Indeed it has very much been my baby - I may have to try this green-fingered lark more often :-)
