It's fair to say that I have learned more about the Fandom in the last four days at ConFuzzled than I have in the previous two and a half years combined. All very interesting.

An in-depth review of ConFuzzled may follow in a different time on a different date. Suffice to say that Saturday was probably the best day I have ever had as a furry yet none of it was directly related to the con.

Meanwhile, the weekend itself was punctuated by excitement and disappointment in almost equal measure. Well, there were probably more highs than lows in honesty, but like anything else, it's often the people who colour the surroundings rather than the other way around.

I honestly can't describe it beyond the word "ambivalence" at the moment. I feel both inspired and frustrated in equal measure. A furry dilemma I have had for months has now been resolved and I can push ahead with a few other furry projects too. This excites me.

Yet at the same time, I am concerned that every con I go to is now starting to have an air of samey-ness about it and I wonder whether they represent true value for money. It was the people rather than the con itself, that was memorable for me this time around (and this was the same at RBW last year too). I must admit I have never been more relaxed amongst furs than I was over the weekend and the con played a massive part in this, I am sure. It's an interesting symbiotic relationship.

I have a lot to think about. As Shep would say, this weekend has been very "distinctive".
