Writing And Improv SIGS At EF
Jul. 29th, 2009 10:11 amIf you are a writer or interested in improving your acting skills then Wolfie and I may have the SIGs for you. We are running two SIGs - one a storytelling workshop and the other an improv show akin - at this year's EF.
The improv SIG will be an hour and a half of improvised games, similar to those played on Whose Line Is It Anyway? (And laterly Whose Yerf Is It Anyway for you ConFuzzled attendees). The aim is to improve acting skills and quick thinking in performance in a supportive and fun environment. It sounds like a Governmet arts project for the regions but I promise it will be more fun.
The storytelling SIG is where we need your help. If you have a piece of writing - either a poem, short story or a chapter of a longer story - that you would like to read out to your peers for constructive feedback and discussion, then let me know. Our aim is to have four or five 10-minute stories at the SIG where we can hear each others' work and perhaps improve our writing skills as a result. So if you are a frustrated writer who would like a further audience for your work, then get in touch.
