Christmas has most definitely arrived. Today I gorged my way through one of those crackers and cheese selection boxes. Nine different types of crackers, six different types of cheese (Brie, soft garlic cheese, Cheddar, Blue Stilton, Smoked Applewood and Wensleydale with Cranberries) and one rather large belly at the end of it. I also got through two bottles of Cusquena and four bottles of Super Bock. Ah, this time of year and the opportunity of sampling different beers and lagers *wags*

May I also take this opportunity to welcome the furs who are new to the lair. I am glad you could make it and I hope you enjoy the whimsy. Feel free to say hi, to add me on IMs or just wait like a coiled panther waiting to strike by writing an amusing comment at another time. I look forward to speaking to you soon :-)

May I wish all my furry friends - old and new - the best possible evening tonight and a prosperous, happy and healthy new year.

I am heading over to Manchester soon to attend a furry house party of about 20 people or so. There are going to be a few furs there who I haven't spoken to in a long time so I am really looking forward to catching up with them. Plus there will be cheese and drink :-)

Hopefully, I won't get a little maudlin, as is often the case on New Year's Eve. I tend to become reflective. This one may be especially tough as I am entering 2010 unemployed. Still, with my friends around me, I'm sure I will be fine.

I am looking forward to leaving 2009 as it's been a horrible year all round. I have done some amazing travelling this year, met some fantastic furries and I have become closer to my mate but apart from that, it has been a pretty bad twelve months. However, I am confident that 2010 will be significantly better and with the strength and support you have given me, I am sure I will make it so.

Thanks for all the kind words and help you have given me over the last year - it has been very much appreciated. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be as positive as I am right now. In fact, I am looking forward to the future with some relish (but not brown sauce - that's yuck).

Remember that you ARE strong enough to realise your dreams and your destiny is in your own hands. You have a fantastic and supportive group of friends who will back you all the way. See the New Year as an opportunity for you to do what you have always wanted to do, no matter how big, small, silly, trivial or monumental. Self-belief is sometimes hard to find but I believe in you. Make it happen. And I will help you all I can. Strive for happiness and you WILL find it. You just have to go out there and get it.

Happy New Year!! Let's make 2010 the happiest year in our little community.
