Wednesday: My father and sister came round to see my flat for the first time since I moved here seven months ago. We went to The Stroom restaurant where we had a delicious three-course meal including a fantastic cheese board to finish off. Too much celery, not enough cheese but there was a stinky French brie. We also shared a bottle of wine, my sister and I, and chatted about university, plans for the future and other stuff. It was great to catch up with the both of them, even though they were two and a half hours late for the meeting. The night ended with tea and convivial conversation back at home with Wolfie where my Dad wondered how they made our skirtingboard so curvy.

Thursday: Pubbage. It was great fun - I am really enjoying the smaller meets these days, far more so than the goliath ones. It was a relaxed affair, a couple of drinks in a Wetherspoons as we are members of CAMRA so get 50p off every pint of real ale there. I had a delicious mature cheddar baguette with red onion sauce which I was craving throughout today it was so good. Also had a new Czech lager called Barovika or something - red label - before I went to the delights of Tuborg. Got IDed which at the age of 27 was very flattering whilst we goaded the edf energy corporate function with tails of how much we love Powergen. This lot were annoying, all high-fiving each other and stuff. We got told to stop blocking the women's toilets, which were sadly out of order so women had to wet themselves. I made a triangle wind turbine out of knives, I spoke to Patter, Enteirah, Oracle and Shortfuse particularly whilst Wolfie spoke to a moustachioed man at the bar. I saw Patter's bike and then we went our separate ways, buying donner meat and garlic sauce on the way home and eating it in the September rain. Yep, a good night.
