Today is my first day off in 12 and my first of two consecutive days off since visiting Belarus last November.

It's York Meet tomorrow but today it's Paws For Cause charity work. I am off to a local shopping centre to dress as a bear for a bit. Should be fun :)

Boy was that hot! The shopping centre was rammed and it wad like suiting in a furnace. I am lubricated everywhere with sweat and sat on the bus my pants are all mushy and squidgy. It's an odd sensation. The bear's huge padded belly hardly helped keeping me cool.

Still it was a great few hours suiting. The kids loved dancing and playing with the bear and being beeped on the nose. Some kid even punched my snout! I also had to dance in front of the entire food haul at my handler's insistence. I did this so vigorously at times my head almost fell off. I am knackered now.

We raised loads of money though and it was great fun, not to mention good exercise. Yey for losing weight the furry way :)

I am liaising with the hospice to perform at more events - I am looking forward to the next Paws For Cause outing already.

P.S. On the way home I went to buy some snausages from a local butcher. I inquired about the Toulouse variety, to which the response was "They're French" and that was that. Very helpful.
