Last night's pubbage was full of awesomeness and completely made up for the disappointment of the York Meet. We went to a proper bar in Veritas, shared some cheeseboards and I sampled a vast array of different lagers and porters - all reasonably priced too.

The conversation was sizzling - from politics with Avon to Poland with Swarinski. Our good friend Mister P was there along with Taneli (wearing a fetching yellow FC top), Enteirah (who sadly had to leave early), Shortfuse and P Diddy Wolf. Graafen and Damon sadly left pretty much as I arrived. Shame I was two hours late but that's work for you.

I do prefer the smaller pubbages these days and last night was no exception. We went via McDonald's (where there was no one rutting in the toilets this time) to the North Bar where we listened to some loud yet rather funky music. At one point Shortfuse rode Wolfie and I wanted him to say "good Wolfie" like the elves do in Oblivion 2. Confusion around taxis as some drunk people were being arses delayed out assent home but we got there in the end thanks to a friendly old guy and his magic wheels.

Baloki, who was also there last night, is round at ours now primed for a day of fun ahead. Or about as much fun as you can have on a drizzly grey day in early March in this country.
