The Puppy Said What?
May. 1st, 2011 02:29 amToday's Leeds Meet was most excellent. There was a good mix of good friends, new faces and people who I hadn't seen in ages. The bar had a relaxing atmosphere (screamy kid aside), it was easy to mingle and there was a good selection of drinks. Plus a few fursuiters turned up which is always a bonus. I was going to suit myself but on the day succumbed to my usual general apathy. It always seems like so much hassle. Maybe getting a partial is the way forward.
I also spoke to a few people from Milton Keynes who were visiting Leeds for the first time on a hen party. They were swayed by my bright pink tail (which many thought was new) and I told them a bit about furry and who we are. If people ask I generally think it's good to tell them plus these people were nice, not your usual drunk hen party types. Meanwhile it was great getting so many hugs from people - I haven't been so glomped in so long. I tried to be funny today but sometimes it was difficult. I was a little argumentative at times but generally fun so I believe. I hope so. Indeed the only complaint about the day was that the bar was perhaps a bit too dark for a sunny spring day - I wad almost blinded when we left.
Bowling followed where we had a rather large and sickening bowl of nachos, which wad for four people at £9.99. I stayed in the bar to chat and drink where I tried to measure the size of Funky's bum as he was playing pool due to top band Chunky Butt Funky playing in Leeds later in the month. I wanted to see just how chunky his butt was. In the bowling alley the most eclectic music was playing including Rammstein and Michael Jackson.
After bowling we went to Wetherspooms across the road for a final beer and a toastie. There, chavs looked at me threateningly because I was wearing my collar. I took it off but Wolfie ordered me to put it back on. I took it off on the way to the toilets though. Then we walked through the drunks to get our bus home, with everyone perplexed by our big paws. I love confuzzling drunk people. One of us suggested a strip bar smelled of semen when we were approached by some lovely ladies representing the establishment. Later on we didn't look at them as we walked past them again.
Fen is staying with us tonight so when we got home I spent some time with him as Wolfie went to bed. We watched bondage based indie flick Secretary, BBC Three with dodgy transmission and Super Casino. We started gambling with golden nails for chips and Fen won the first seven spins. It was parity after that until I won the day as he went all in and lost. Yey for puppies!
