Shep Shepherd stayed the weekend and much mirth and merriment was had, particularly concerning the concept of the Munro Transfer (don't look it up!!), Quasimodo going on holiday in his Renault 5, French sweating from one's anus and the overriding desire to go BOWLING!! GREEN JELLY!!!

On Friday we hooked up with Arcais and Draken before heading into Bradford for a curry. It was very nice, as the traditional curries there tend to be, and I also enjoyed a particularly frothy lassi. My chicken shashlik was most agreeable and we had a lot of fun being distracted by the Indian TV station which played videos inexplicably filmed at Victoria Station.

Saturday was meet day and as it was an inclement day I refrained from suiting. Due to the need to find out about the status of The Mascot Gold Cup, I was slightly late but I made up for it by having such a good time once I was there. Sadly the bar refused to serve me popcorn even though I saw it right there and could smell the delicious aroma. I am also amazed how much easier it is to meet new furs at Leeds meets. The nature of the bar and the company meant I met around ten new furs easily.

Afterwards we went bowling with the soul intention of eating and drinking in their poor bar. The alley didn't want us bowling for dime reason and said we had to wait an hour, which was pushed back to two, even though there were loads of lanes free. I had a stodgy snausage sandwich before we went to Wetherspoons for some "proper" food. By this point, 9pm, most people had uncharacteristically drifted off leaving four of us to make our way home. Here Shep tried Pupschlager which he thought was most agreeable but not fizzy enough. He seemed to enjoy his first meet in a while.

The weather on Sunday was even more foul than on Saturday so a Roundhay picnic was off and a trip to Junction 32 was on. Sadly we didn't have the foresight to book skiing or BOWLING, much to the annoyance of a creepy man who declared it the worst meet ever. He also kept stroking my ears. But I want to go BOWLING!!

We wandered around a bit and I got my third successive Sunday lunch from Wetherspoons. Some of us went off to see The Avengers movie but I wasn't particularly interested so Shep, Southie, Ent and I went off to do some shopping. We discovered the treasure trove of Cadbury's Outlet store and stocked up on loads of cheap DVDs. At Ye Olde Worlde Sweet Shoppe I bought some milk chocolate puppies (yeys!) and at Hallmark I bought an interactive book and plush set called Jingle The Husky. You read the book to him and he barks when he hears certain phrases. It's really sweet.

We also had a tea, discussed television then Southie drove us back to Leeds for drinks and chatter at North Bar. Saber popped out, as did Wolfie and Mike Kitsune post-movie, and I tried a range of drinks before we retired to McDonald's and noms.

The whole weekend was a riot of laughs - haven't laughed so much in ages. Truly truly brilliant :D
