Yesterday we had a fun evening in Armley with Adia. Sadly her partner Soma had a headache and couldn't make it but we still had a pleasant couple of hours in two local hostelries, with the extremes of TV on either side of us - BBC One and Pick.

I also visited all of the Eastern European shops there, much to Adia's bemusement, to sample their many goodies, many of which containing coconut like a coconut croissant and a coconut wafer. We also had a White Lion bar while I think I fancy the Kubus Bear. He's just so darn cute.

Wolfie and I had intended to go to the sauna after our drinks but the pubs and company were so good that we ran out of time. Still, we are planning another trip there soon, particularly as it's on my way back from work and near Wolfie's, plus there is so much to see in a drab Yorkshire sense. We even saw the commemorative paving stones which got more desperate the more out of town we went. Alan Bennett was indeed born in Armley but further down they highlighted four hippos which were discovered there. Not quite the same methinks.

Anyway it was a brilliant way to spend an evening and we will undoubtedly be back, if just to buy more Polish food and see Adia again. Hooray!
