Snow Day, No Way

There's lots of snow around, disrupting things and generally being annoying. Granted it's pretty to look at, but the pavements are not gritted and slippy while there are dicks waiting around every corner waiting to throw snowballs. And the roads are that hideous dark grey slush colour which is just beyond grim.

Despite the presence of the white stuff, we have managed to honour nearly all of our commitments, with First being surprisingly good getting through the snow. We had to cancel a night out on Friday due to the deteriorating conditions but Saturday's Minimeet went ahead, with 34 furs in attendance, a record. We also got 17 furs to a Thai restaurant after the usual festivities. Some were trying Thai food for the first time while I enjoyed our tower of beer, comprising of eight bottles of Singha. A good time was had until a drunken Wolfie spilt two glasses of beer over my trousers and we had to go home.

Fen was staying at our house this weekend and it was an utter delight as ever. Between my working and the meet, we watched relentless episodes of Family Guy and American Dad, which was a relaxing way to spend the time. He went home early evening to beat the snow, again with the transport companies doing remarkably well when compared to their usual standards. Let's hope this continues.

The meets seem to be going from strength to strength and we pretty much took over the whole bar as there was no bugger else in there. The bar staff loved us but were disappointed there were no fursuits. Definitely one for next time.
