Twitter Feeds On LJ

lupestripeI don't understand why people publish their Twitter feeds on LJ. I know one of Twitter's main drawbacks is the lack of archive but are these mini-conversations really worth preserving? Also you only get half the conversation too - it's like transcribing a phone call when you can only hear one of the people talking. I don't understand it myself.
In other news, today is the 40th anniversary of D-Day - when the UK's currency went decimal. It had to be done really and I look forward to the complete adoption of the far more logical metric system too.
