Following on from numerous other threads and still struggling for ideas - which cartoon character would you most like to be and why?

I guess I have three: Dangermouse, Superted and Fox from The Animals of Farthing Wood. Aside from them all being adorable I like the heroic qualities of all three of them.

Dangermouse triumphed over adversity by being small but plucky enough to always win. He had a big heart and bigger confidence and it is I admire the most. From someone who has very little confidence himself I would have loved to have picked up this trait as Dangermouse. I also loved the tight uniform and the fact he had a talking raisin as an accomplice.

Superted I liked because it was the manifestation of the childhood imagination. We all have imagined our plushes coming to life and I liked the juxtaposition between the cute and cuddly bear and the tough ass-kicking hero - it was a good dimension. I also liked the fact he didn't discriminate against measels suffers in his associates and he actually taught me the Green Cross Code. Sad thing was I spent many a time trying to get run over in the hope he would save me. Alas he didn't. I also liked the red cape ensamble he had going on to if I was being extremely honest.

Fox has no clothes because he was a fox. Seems logical enough. He also embued a sense of loyalty (with Vixen), justice and valour that I find so admirable. The fact he was a fox was a major advantage of course but at age ten I distinctly remember wanting to be him as he was so cool.

Does anyfur else have similar memories?
