Much as I love the net, and everything about working remotely, there's still much to be said for in-person collaboration and meetings. Making classes that bit easier to attend by respecting the fact a living town's center really is in its center, not on some fringe served by a shuttle bus line, is definitely a positive move.
(In defense of the UoB, I suppose they didn't really have anywhere else to be. And at least the bus companies involved use modern buses, unlike the local clapped-out affairs, constantly struggling to get up the not insignificant hills hereabouts. Yay "private" enterprise, an offshoot of another EU government's national system)
What anime's crossed your path lately, anyway? I've sort of fallen out with it all - not out of any real reason, just random diffusion. Anything fun and furry lately? Or particularly good sci-fi?
