Double meaning really. In the UK Muller have an ad campaign whose slogan is "Do you Lick the Lid of Life". In combination with happy people eating healthily, the double meaning is do you seize every opportunity in your life.
I can't do the licky thing, makes me ick really. Would happily scrape some off with a spoon though - as I was doing with my Cherry flavoured Muller Light yoghurt in the pub on Monday evening :)
I used to use a spoon, but found that I always miss some that way.
Out of curiosity, why don't you like licking the lids? Is it that the lid is something you don't want touching your tongue (due to feeling that it's "dirty", perhaps, or because of the possibility of cutting yourself), or is it that your tongue is something you don't want touching the lid (maybe because you don't want to get spit on it), or is it because it's something one "just doesn't do", or...?
I think it's got something to do with the smell of saliva. I imagine how smelly the lid has become and it makes me queasy. Also the sight of streak marks caused by the tongue on the lid makes me feel a bit odd too. I accept it's an odd one.
I have just had a Muller Rice. I managed to remove all the rice from the lid with the spoon :)
I don't know what it is, it's one of those deep sub-conscious things I guess. It just makes me feel queasy. Odd I know.

Perhaps I should get shares in Muller - I am buying a lot of them at the moment. May treat myself to a Muller Rice tomorrow - it is Friday after all...
