Aesthetically, what is your favourite flag?

I have always been a fan of the Nepalese flag as it eschews the conventions of normal flag making, as it's two triangles rather than a typical rectangular shape.

What do you think?

I actually really like the Welsh flag, naturally, because it has a dragon on it. The Japanese flag is also pretty nice for being simplistic and I like the colours red and white together.

I like the Welsh flag too although I think it is perhaps a little fussy. Plus the green and red clash quite a bit.

Japanese flag, I don't know. It has a story behind it, I just think it's a little dull for some reason. Granted not as dull as the Libyan one but y'know...

United Nations. It embodies a dream of mine.

Or the Caldarvierie Grand Union Flag. ;)

It's a nice flag - what does it represent?

The flag of Caldarvier. A world populated entirely by intellegent deer. :D

I need to tweak it a bit.

Looks tremendously interesting - will have to have a greater look at it :)

I spent a while gathering it all together.

How long did it take for you to compile it all?

About a week to type all that out.

The one thing about the UN flag that I don't like - and it sounds churlish considering what it represents - is the shade of blue in the background. It always seems a dirty, muddy hue to me.

I like the Union Flag really. I dunno, I just like how it looks, it's very striking.

The Jamaican flag is nice too.

I think the Jack Rackham flag is my favourite though :P

It is a very unique flag but a bugger to know which way is the right way to hang it. I do like our flag, very nice. The Jamacian flag is pretty cool too - again another distinctive one.

I don't know what the Jack Rackham flag is :(

I like the Japanese flag as it's simple and effective :)

And perhaps a little dull? I don't know, it's an okay flag but I prefer the South Korean one on a similar theme.

Hmmm, I've always thought the flag of Swaziland was quite striking :)

I have no idea what the Swaziland flag looks like but what little I know about the country's people, I imagine it to be quite a cool affair :)

seriously, it has a bear on it?

Indeed it does although I am not too sure as to its significance (bears to live in California but bear bating/fighting was a popular sport in the state in the early 20th century and it may relate to that). A lot of the US state flags are quite good actually :)

I do like the St George Flag - I prefer it to the Japanese one for some reason even though both are equally simple. Georgia and Malta, of course, have also got the same flag, demonstrating it's popularity.

In many ways I do like the flags with crosses on. Finland and Sweden both have nice flags, as does Iceland :)

Personally I like the simplicity of the Japanese flag :) Take care.

Three for Japan then - very interesting. As I have said, I find it a little dull but it has a meaning behind it which is a great thing, I feel :)
