Curse this lumpy bed - the entire left side of my body has been numb for an hour now and I awoke at 7.30am so have little chance of getting back to sleep. Meanwhile Wolfie is snoring louder than a hippo on crack and I have developed a painful throat ache. Joy.

Briefly called in at the London Fur Meet yesterday as I had a spare hour before meeting up with some other friends. It was great to catch up with many furs who I hadn't seen for far far too long. I am hoping to attend a Meet sometime in June or July so I can chat to furs in a far less brief fashion. And I know it's London but £4.20 for a pint of Guinness is rather steep. Despite this, I am glad I called in as it was also good sorting out an issue with an old friend which had been allowed to fester for far too long. It was brilliant chatting and getting back on good terms and I am confident our friendship will become stronger as a result. I hope so anyway. Plus Wolfie sat on a table and broke it to round the Meet off. Chunky wuff.

In the evening I met up with some football mates in Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Pub on Fleet Street. Wolfie was there too but had been drinking at the Meet so left early, after some wonderful fish and chips. We spent a lot of time planning our pilgrimage to Middlesborough, Kentucky, next Spring as we all come from Middlesbrough, England. It's a tiny town with a national park next to it, with the same industrial heritage as my homeland. Should be an interesting place to visit.

Aside from that, we enjoyed the usual banter and joking, discovering on the way that my former employer is approaching on the delusional. So many reasons not to bore you with though. Sadly the night had to come to an end due to the need to catch the last Tube so we parted. I got looks of derision from a pretentious student type for eating candy on the train.

It's London Marathon day today and I don't know what this means regarding getting around London. I am seek my ex-girlfriend (yes I do have one - two in fact) at her flat later where she will cook Wolfie and I food. The two of them get on well so it should be a fun afternoon.

Finally I apologise for my nakedness at the London Meet yesterday. I didn't bring my collar out as I was meeting my brother thus I was collarless throughout. Sorry if the lack of collar offended :P

So I ended up boxing against my ex-girlfriend whilst wearing pink boxing gloves. She has boxed for around three years and so taught me some stances, moves and jabs before pummeling the shit out of me. We ended up sparring in her flat, much to Wolfie's amusement and my embarrassment. It was quite fun and very physically demanding but I admit it was odd trying to beat up a girl.

After this we made uttappams, Indian pizza-cum-pancakes full of onions, peppers and tomatoes. My ex, who is Indian, struggled but improved whilst Wolfie nailed it first time. The bastard. So I ate his cheese. The pan and spatula weren't the best and I struggled to flip the mixture, causing it to disintegrate. Still I improved towards the end.

It wad a really relaxing day - we spent the morning trying to avoid the London Marathon by going to leafy Richmond. As it was a warm day, we decided to sit in a pub and have a cheeseboard. We then walked to Kew in the sunshine along the River Thames. The signpost said it was a 1.25 mile walk. I say it was nearer four. We ate an ice cream in Kew Gardens car park, saw it would cost £13.95 to enter and promptly walked through the delightfully quaint village in order to get to the Tube. On the train, there was a mother and daughter who can only be described as being from The Only Way Is Essex. The ten year old kept flicking me with her hair and was clearly hyperactive. Not to mention annoying.

When we eventually got to my ex's place, she had a nice risotto on, which we ate before going on a posh picnic on Hyde Park. We had red pepper, cucumber and hummus with Bailey's ice cream for dessert. We also bathed in the sun, I orientated myself so it looked like a lamppost was coming out of her arse (shame the light wasn't flashing) and we saw an army of rollerbladers descend around the Serpentine. We were also subject to her dodgy driving. At the end of the day, she gave me a wooden Cambodian flute from Ankor Wat and a luminous whistle from a rave she went to, which I am wearing now. I look like a right furry raver XD.

In the end, the day, like the weekend, was fantastic. It was great relaxing amongst excellent company and catching up with long lost friends. We both had a great time and are aiming to return in mid-June.
