The Fat Truth

It's not nice being called a 'fat bastard' by a stranger, even if it is a drunken Stella swigging chav who makes you seriously question the benefits of universal suffrage. Not nice with my history concerning paranoia about my weight anyway, however true the statement actually is. I am in Starbucks now eating ginger snaps and drinking hot chocolate. It's enough to make a girl cry.

My trip to London made me realize that the pursuit of my career means I have somewhat neglected my friends (and partner) over the last year. I did what needed to be done professionally but it doesn't fully make up for the neglect in other aspects of my life. My overworking has made me tired and cynical of late and this weekend made me realize how fun life can often be.

To be fair, since the start of 2011 I have started to rectify things. Wolfie and I are doing more stuff together and more people are coming to see us and stay the weekend. I was stunned in London by how many furs remembered me - I should definitely do a meet properly soon and catch up with everyone. And when I get more time off from June I am hoping to become more active in my charity work and also in attending meets and seeing friends. So fun is definitely ahead :-)
