Reviving LJ

With scores of people not updating LJ any more in favour of using other social networks, I feel a massive cull is in order.

However, it would be great to keep LJ alive by following different people (and indeed groups and communities) who do regularly update. As we all follow different people, is anyone willing to suggest furs other people can follow in the hope of making new friends? I am happy to suggest a couple of friends myself, who I consider to be interesting posters, if they are willing to be followed by other LJ users. And of course I am happy for people to friend me on my journal.

Is this idea a good one? Your thoughts would be appreciated. It would certainly be great to have a more vibrant LJ community again.
