Last night Wolfie and I met up with Yarwick in Leeds as he was here on business. In fact he is working on a very exciting project and I really hope it is successful. Fascinating stuff from a very interesting guy.
We showed him the sights of Leeds, particularly the stunning Victorian architecture and the newly installed ice rink outside the Guildhall which looks a little drab and pathetic. We also went for generic coffee at Starbucks followed by a trip to the nice steak house we tried last month. The food was nice but they did smother mine with too many caramelised onions. Yarwick was surprised at the general friendliness up here, particularly the bouncy Starbucks lady who I told Wolfie was a prostitute.
Aside from my rabbits in the headlights impression when crossing the road, resulting in everyone crashing into me, the evening was very pleasant. The meander around the city post eating was particularly pleasant as we discovered new places to try. It's amazing what you can miss on your own doorstep. So yep great night and hopefully we can do it again soon ^^
