The Wagon Stops Rolling

This evening I must finally draw a line under Christmas. Most of the beer has now gone, as well as the food, and work is well and truly back in full swing (although, to be honest, it never actually stopped for me).
My Dad came down to visit Wolfie and I tonight, bringing the last of the Christmas presents with him. I only managed to see my family prior to Christmas so there was new stuff he had to deliver. It was great catching up with him over a beer in a semi-rough pub in Thornbury. We then took him to the local fish and chip sit-down restaurant, The Weatherby Whaler, and he was suitably impressed with hot fish and chips with creamy mushy peas. We all feel bloated now and I feel I won't be able to sleep.
Tomorrow the diet must start in earnest. I am getting fatter and fatter and rounder and rounder and something needs to be done. Swimming in the evening, I hope, and the start of sheding some pounds.
