Acquired Tastes

In the office earlier, my colleague cooked me haggis and with it, we had a wee dram of whiskey in celebration of Burns' Night this coming Sunday. It was quite a nice affair but unfortunately, I don't like whiskey and upon drinking it, it made my insides seem like they were on fire for about half an hour. And this was good whiskey.
Whiskey is like coffee in that not only do I not like it but I don't understand why anyone would (although I don't doubt that they do). I guess it's one of those acquired taste situations and those two are tastes I have never managed to acquire. Does anyone have any others?
