Tiredness, demons, a vast array of other issues so sorry for being somewhat muted this evening and being rather blunt and direct on other occasions. Hope everyone had a good time and all - the quiz was kinda fun when I could hear the scary orange boiler suit man. He looked like a member of Slipknot without the mask. I also loved his crappy Wheel of Fortune thing. It was good to see that our drawing of Andy Furrey went down well, earning us a full 1.5 points - I expect that to be hanging on the wall by this time tomorrow. Pie and peas was nice, succulent, my complements to Tesco and the M*A*S*H style mess tin.
I do love that bar - top continental beer at pretty reasonable prices considering. I managed to try three new beers, one from the US, one from Holland and one from Italy. It was quite a gathering too - glad to see the pubbages are getting bigger. Looks like there is a healthy fur crowd in the Leeds area now, particularly when added to the Bradford/Calderdale gathering from last night too. We'll be hosting our own minimeets in no time. I also wrote Puppy Loves Bum Sex on the blackboard and was integrating complex integrals, which was fun.
The Spain v Portugal match was interesting too from what I saw of it. Good to see the Spanish prevail - I am not a massive fan of Ronaldo and it would be great to see the Spaniards lift the World Cup. Anyone but Brazil - the Manchester United of international football - the fawning is becoming frustrating. Still, it's a shame the World Cup is nearly over - I have really enjoyed the tournament so far, England not withstanding (typically come to think of it). At least we still have the biggest games to go...
