The Bestest Day

A wet Sunday in Salford does not sound the most appealing prospect in the world but yesterday was absolutely brilliant. And it always rains in Manchester so I am kinda used to it anyway.
I grabbed a hot dog from the kiosk at Manchester Victoria station - it was so good I had to go back and grab another. Best hot dogs outside Germany I feel. Then, I headed around to Kiffy and Ska Pup's pad via a supermarket for some beer and cookies. Pinky was with them and Panthras met up with us too. We then watched football, chatted football, did web things, watched some more football and then saw the IT Crowd - including the hilarious Coutdown episode. It was great seeing some good friends and chatting about interests which are particularly close to me. It was such a relaxing day and although I probably drank too much beer - and was barefoot due to me finding out my shoes were leaking somewhat too late to go back and change them - I didn't make an arse of myself which is somewhat unusual for me.
Kiffy and Ska generously cooked a meal for us - after I had invited myself round - sweet chicken, rice and triple fried chips which were the most delicious chips I have ever tasted. Seriously. Absolutely brilliant. We also had cheese, chili and garlic bread for starter, and saw Wolfybaby, who it is always a pleasure to see. Yep, great day - one of the most relaxing of the year - and we have plans to do lots of cool stuff in the Manchester area in the future too (like zorbing and five-a-side football - yeys!!).
