lupestripe | English Summer Rain

I am sitting in the car, in full Fursuit (sans paws) waiting for the rain to stop. I can hear the music from the Carnival in the background and the sound of happy children. These are the kids who have just spent two hours stalking me and using me as a climbing frame. Still it was great to see them smiling. By the end of the session I had an army of around ten who refused to leave me alone. I wish they hadn't pulled my tail so much - it's hard to make the husky look angry.

Meanwhile I danced to the band, threw balls at some tin cans, played with bubble guns (I had problems gripping the trigger with my paws) and also tried to steal some cakes. I am also wearing a Coolmax Suit under the Fursuit for the first time and what a difference it's making! A wonderful application of science I believe but it does make the Fursuit wearing experience feel a bit strange. I feel the undersuit pulling, particularly on my shoulders and knees, and this feels a tad odd. No doubt I will get used to it but suiting definitely feels different.

The Carnival is in aid of a local hospice and this is a Paws For Cause mission. Hopefully it will stop raining soon and we can raise more money. Pictures will be forthcoming ^^

ADDENDUM: In the end we called it a day. Most of the kids had left by the time it had stopped raining and as it was in a pub's beer garden, a few rowdy adults had started to give us abuse. We had set a deadline of 6pm and by 5.40pm we had resolved to cut our losses and leave. Still it was a great if slightly short session :-)
