Flowers

Last night I came home to discover Wolfie had bought me flowers - pink flowers no less. This is only the second time he has ever bought me blooms. Sometimes he's really sweet :)

I wasn't very good at removing said flowers from the cellophane packaging though, managing to pour the plant food all over my foot. Still, I managed to get them in the vase eventually and now they look really good in the living room. Go me ^^

My mammoth overtime work project has now finished so I am just back to my usual shift pattern. It's been a tough two months, three weeks longer than expected, and torturous on occasion. Still I am glad I did it. And now I am looking forward to some much-needed pup time.

Awww, that's so sweet. ^_^

(I'll confess to a measure of envy in having someone in your life who thinks that much of you as to be unabashedly romantic =:)

As I say, this is only the second time in nearly five years so it's not a regular occurence hehe.

Bad deer!

My grandmother has to apply various decoctions of hot pepper to keep the local whitetails from eating her flower garden.

They're almost as much of a nuisance as the raccoons.

Hot pepper? If you applied that to my flowers, I would probably start eating them...

You might. Wild deer won't. ;)

These decoctions are boiled down until they burn like fire. One bite, and the offending cervid won't want another anytime soon.
