Oh yes, the first two series of the German version of 'The Animals of Farthing Wood' have arrived on DVD. They have English soundtrack but I may watch them in German for my own interest. I know what I'll be doing for the rest of the week ^^

(Indeed I have become rather addicted to Amazon recently - they seem to have loads of box sets at ridiculous prices. I really need to rein in my spending though.)

Where did you get them from if you don't mind? I've been looking for them for ages with no luck.

amazon.de - just type the German above and you will find them. They have English and German soundtracks so you should be able to switch to the English version. I have yet to test this though.

For DVD's they are really cheap (got all of Batman TAS season 1 for something like £6.80 when it's £12 at HMV and £18.99 on iTunes), though I wonder how long that will last if or when the government closes the Jersey tax loophole.

They are marvellous but, as you say, I am scared about what will happen when they close the loophole in April. This is why I am getting most of my purchasing in now ^^

I still can't get over the fact that the English language version of Fox is voiced by the bloke who did the voice-overs for the Auto Trader TV adverts in the 1990s :P

That was a very interesting Shepfact - I didn't know this before this weekend. I would so buy a car from the Fox from Farthing Wood.

me too, he's trustworthy, although so griffindor it hurts at times. i've been watching it in english, but i can't chain watch it the way i do other cartoons because it's sadder and more complex. really impressed with how deep it is for a childrens show!

I started watching it again tonight and I agree - I can't chain watch it either, it's very complex. Still love fox though - my first ever crush.

His name is Rupert Farley. He's still doing a lot of voice-over work and dabbles in bit part acting from time to time :)

He could come round my house and do some voice over work. Perhaps he could dress up as a fox too :)
