Thursday night saw me arrange a work's night out, which was great fun. Skavinski was there, in his usual croc form, while a handful of other work colleagues were in attendence too. We were there to say goodbye to the Bulgarians who are going back to Bulgaria after the termination of their university days. They'll still be working for us but sadly will no longer be in Leeds. This is a shame as they are excellent company.

What the gathering lacked in numbers, it made up for in good times although we didn't have the best of starts as we began at the German Bierkeller on Battle of the Bands night. The acoustics there aren't particularly great so we had to endure a really amateur band murdering My Chemical Romance songs for the best part of half an hour. The music was too loud, none of us could chat and squeaking feedback was in abundance, so we departed for Massey's Bookseller where we drank a load of excellent pilsner and demolished all of their popcorn. We must have had six free bowls of the stuff. Oh how they loved us.

A couple more colleagues turned up just as I was about to get my last bus and so I felt obliged to stick around. So we drank and we drank and we drank before departing to North for more high strength ale in our state of increasing merriment. Things were relaxed and groovy but worryingly 2am on a school night so I decided to slink off and made the biggest mistake of the night - a McDonald's to fill myself up. This just made me ill and shitty the next day - forcing me to go to the toilet on five separate occasions. After the 'meal', I got in a taxi, wrote embarrassing things on twitter about my lack of sexiness and eventually headed to bed shortly after 3.30am.

Thankfully I was working at home the next day as the last bits of our brewing kit - the stuff which had to be replaced as it was damaged when the first consignment had arrived - were due to be delivered. The delivery guy woke me up at 11.15am and I started work soon after. It was a long day indeed but at least I had some sleep. Not enough, but some. How I woke up wearing pyjama bottoms I am still unsure.
