lupestripeSunday's Leeds Minimeet, the second half of the Yorkshire Big Weekender, went rather well. We have a nice group here in Leeds - mature and very easy to organise. The lack of fursuiters also helps in this respect as many bars struggle to accommodate them.
We went to Bar Revolution again, despite the hen night whooping last time. Calculating there would be none of this on a Sunday, it turned out that the bar was completely dead, allowing us to cotch in the old mill part of the bar and do our own thing. Many drinks and some excellent chicken vodka pizza was had. Some patrons later in the day were looking at me weirdly, I think they were just jealous of my bright pink tail.
Massey's was closed so we went to the Cuthbert Broderick then Nando's then Foley's as people drifted off throughout the day. We had a fair few Manchester furs in the wake of Arcais's BBQ the previous night and I hope they enjoyed the Meet.
I think the minimeets are going quite well - they are more sedate drinking affairs than fursuiting ventures with innumerate kids but this is what I prefer so I'm happy with it. We also have a nice core of 15-20 people, which is a good number too. I'm looking forward to the next one on September 15.
