Fursuit Frenzy!

Saturday was our regularly monthly Minimeet, during which we organised a Fursuit walk for the first time. There was no real reason why we hasn't done this before suffice to say that many of our crew prefer a more quiet social meet than the hassle and madness of suiting brings.

But with a pro-suiting venue which was actually disappointed we didn't suit last month, we decided to do some suiting and this meant my new suit received its UK debut.

Suiting was great fun, more fun than ever as I feel more attached to my new suit than any which have preceded it. Perhaps this is because it's my first fully custom suit or that there is far more pink involved but it felt far more natural than previous times. Also suiting around friends helped as around furs I usually get anxiety. Not this time.

The walk was about 90 minutes and I was surprised by the positive reaction my new suit received, both from furs and the general public at large. I have received many kind and flattering comments about my new suit in recent days, which is really humbling, and I'm glad people love it as much as I do. I really love the pink guy, I've never loved any object this much, and I'm looking forward to increasing my suiting experiences in future. I'm still on a massive high after Rusfurrence and the excellent Leeds Minimeet has only prolonged it. Thanks for your kind words ^^

The best thing <3 tiring but worth it, I'm glad you had a good time too, I'm not sure where you find all that energy! :p but will be nice to have a quiet one again in March

I'm glad you liked it, sometimes I am surprised myself about where my energy comes from. I guess it takes a little getting used to. I imagine the March one will be quiet, yep.

There ought indeed be some pics here. ^_^ I did catch one or two, though. It's all reminding me that I'll really enjoy making up my SL self (or having fun trying =:), once I've shed all the excess poundage, as well as quite possibly giving Red another public outing or two sometime - not something that's happened in several years now, mostly just due to the weight.

It's so good you've managed to find such an accommodating venue, needless to say. Now, if only it could be easier to eat and drink in suit.. =:)

The problem with pics on LJ is that I don't have a paid or advertising account so I'm limited to the number of pictures I can upload. FA/Twitter/Email are better conduits really.

I hope you do manage to lose some weight and give Red another outing, it would be great to see.

I'd love to be able to eat and drink in suit but that could be logistically difficult. I guess a straw and liquifaction could help.

Yep, it was great fun, I do love suiting from time to time. I hope to do it again soon.
