SNAUSAGES!!!

Back in Baa Bar, the Leeds Meet was a return to form and I think it was enjoyed by all. Certainly there was some excellent suiting around the winter amusements on Millennium Square, and we even negotiated fursuiters being able to go on the polar winter slide provided they "tuck their tails inside the rubber ring". We also met a girl called Beth who was working security and obsessed with Lapres's wonderful new owl suit, so much so that she is thinking of coming to the next meet which will be nice.
While I was talking to Beth, explaining the Fandom to her, I was collared by the ice rink manager who allowed us to take fursuiters on the ice in between sessions. I thought this meant actual ice skating but it was more just sliding around for a few minutes and entertaining the waiting crowds. The reference to "no wild animals" during the subsequent safety demonstration talk was fantastic.
I wasn't suiting due to the weather, having cleaned my suit already ahead of Nordic Fuzzcon, but with the day drying out I kinda regretted this by late afternoon. However it did mean I was liberated to do social things after the meet and a group of us decamped to Trinity Kitchen where I had an excellent burger off the back of a mobile ambulance. Sadly this will be leaving by the end of next week so it may be my only sample I get of this delicious pattie.
On our way home, we called in at Pudsey Saver with Alistair where we got chatting to the shopkeep. I mentioned the lack of white Lion bars and he let me rant before showing me a huge box of them, hidden from view as they weren't at the end of an aisle. This led him to showing us a fascinating card trick, which he then told us how to perform. Be aware of Wolfie's new party trick!
Sunday was a more relaxed day, deliberately as I needed to get back on track regarding creative writing. Finding the time and motivation for this is difficult and I hadn't done anything since October. However, having started reading again on Thursday - the house move has taken up all my time these last few months - I found a new desire to craft a story and by the end of the day I had written over 1,600 words. Nothing stellar but a start about which I'm quite pleased. I felt there was some positive momentum regarding my writing at the tail end of 2013 so I hope to harness this again this year.
The rest of the day was spent with Wolfie - we had a meal in a pub and did couple stuff too. He had an insanely spicy snausage which he didn't find massively spicy while I had snausages and mash. Indeed snausages were a major theme of the day if you know what I mean ;)

Always great when owners are willing to play along with suiting. ^_^ (And like many other entries, this one needs photos!)
I should probably point out again that there's a local pub/restaurant that specialises in sausages - a wide variety, and usually very good. ^_^ Quite an impressive selection of beers, too, mostly bottled.

Maybe I should have taken a slide, my tail is the perfect length.
Hehe, I'm sure I'll be reading about that elsewhere >_>
